COURSE OVERVIEW
Typing – a surprisingly lost art! In this day and age where everyone has a device in their hands, it is surprising for many to hear that basic typing skills, on a keyboard, are lagging behind. And when typing lags behind, so too does schoolwork – from essays and other assignments, to even keeping up in class, an inability to type can slow kids down.
Extra Ed’s typing program sees students gain more comfort using a keyboard. And in so doing, they will gain fine motor skills, finger dexterity, use attention to detail, and even improve their hand eye coordination! Students will learn how to place fingers correctly on the keyboard, and work on improving their words per minute, while using correct spelling. Other skills will include keyboard familiarity, and comfort with typing, all while building confidence when completing their school work or creative writing projects.
