Crafting Fun | ExtraEd - Creative Projects for All Ages

Crafting

Busy hands, happy minds.

Learn new skills. Our program teaches a variety of activities that are useful, creative, and fun. With weekly projects in knitting, paper quilting, embroidery, and more, students build a host of new crafting skills.

Follow a plan. Crafting disciplines demand forethought and patience. Our activities help students learn to make a plan, keep focused on the task at hand, and problem-solve when obstacles arise.

Reach your goal. Our students see their projects through to completion. Tying-off the final knot of an intricate bracelet or unfolding a delicate origami crane always brings satisfaction and a sense of accomplishment.

All skill levels welcome!

Our courses are designed to accommodate a wide range of skill levels. We design our projects to be open-ended and accessible. When applicable, our instructors may offer more advanced techniques to groups of more experienced students.

Appropriate to their age and abilities, students may be instructed in:

  • Paper quilting creations
  • Making friendship bracelets with embroidery floss
  • Embroidery techniques
  • Origami animals
  • Hand sewing
  • Making recycled crafts from household objects

Our Clubs are run as extracurricular programming in schools across the Greater Toronto Area. With exciting subjects, engaging instructors, and hands-on activities, this program offers educational experiences beyond the school curriculum.  Learn more>
