Video Game Design | ExtraEd - Unlock the Secrets of the Universe

Video Game Design

Ready player one.

Bring your ideas to life. Students will turn creative ideas into playable video games using the Scratch platform. They’ll design characters, code simple game mechanics, and be introduced to the exciting world of game development.

Code your own games! Through hands-on activities, students will explore essential coding concepts like motion, events, loops, and variables. Each week, they’ll build new skills and apply them to their own game projects.

Create, play, and share. By the end of the program, students will have created their very own video games. They’ll share their creations with classmates and can continue to access their games in their Scratch accounts from home.

No prior coding experience needed!

This program is designed for beginners. All students need is an email address to save their Scratch projects. Instructors will guide them step-by-step.
