From splattering colours onto a blank canvas to dotting sunspots onto a springtime prairie, painting is a great (and messy!) way for kids to transform their unique view of the visual world to a physical canvas. Students will explore oil, acrylic, water-based, and more paints, a variety of brushstrokes, and more as they learn how to create realistic depictions or subvert them as they see fit! Study shape, texture, colour’s capacity for expression, and more, working through exercises and projects with experienced, passionate instructors who tailor their lessons to those seeking the freedom to experiment!
