Extra Ed’s programs are very popular and make a difference, but all too often, they do not reach those who need them most. The fact is that an increasing number of neighbourhoods and schools are unable to cover the costs of even our heavily discounted programs. And in the end, it is the kids that pay the price – the very expensive price of a knowledge and education gap.
Extra Ed is doing its part to bring our programs to those who cannot afford them – mainly, through our pay-what-you-can policy that guarantees entry for any student at a given school. If this was all we did, we would rest well knowing that thousands of children have been able to participate in our programs that otherwise wouldn’t have been able to. But there is more that can be done through donations.
Donations help push our reach further and further and ensure that more and more children get an opportunity to learn, to develop, and to realize their potential, regardless of their economic circumstances. Most importantly, they get a chance to join in on the fun!
