Extra Ed offers the full range of our popular programs as online and in-person (location permitting) Camps during PA days and March Break, as well as Summer and Winter holiday periods. And many of our programs are available as in-person as well, depending on your location! There, campers will enjoy a mix of learning and play outside, exercising their bodies and minds while learning things like how to build robots, creating different structures out of LEGO®, managing their money, photography techniques, coding games and making movies. It’s a ton of fun, mixed with lots of learning and brand new friends.
Chess – Full day, includes tournaments and rating (by the Chess Federation of Canada), with medals, prizes, riddles and chess trivia.
LEGO® – Full day, theme-based and group building projects like parts of a city that come together at the end, including parks, roads, buildings and more.
LEGO® Robotics –Full day, 3 progressing levels. Junior (Grades 1-3) or Senior (Grades 4-8) students. Junior groups use WeDo 2.0 kits and incorporate LEGO® EV3 Mindstorms at higher levels. Senior students use LEGO® EV3 Mindstorms throughout.
Coding – Full day, 6 progressing levels. Junior (Grades 1-4) students use Scratch software to learn the basics of coding. Senior (Grades 5+) students use Python programming language.
Film Making – Full day, Grades 4+, learn the ins and outs of film making in this hands-on production-focused program.
Short Video Creation – Full day, Grades 4+, students learn how to frame shots, tell a story, and complete a short video by the end of the day.
Money Managers – Full day, 4 progressing levels. Students learn about how to manage their money, the economy, savings, and interest.
Photography – Full day, students learn how to use their cameras to take advantage of all the features and frame the perfect shot.
Visual Art –Full day, students learn to draw, colour, shade and create a scene from their imagination.
Regarding Covid-19 restrictions: In the event that camps end up being cancelled by the Ontario government, we will work with parents to either reschedule their selected camp times to our daily online summer programming, or provide a refund.

If cost is a barrier, please reach out to us. There will be two spots available in each camp group as "pay-what-you-can." While all financial struggles are important, these spots will be assigned based on greatest need.
